Fiona's interest is in the articulation of visual space, visual perception and time, the 2D/3D ambiguity , order, chaos, and the boundary between marks and the image they compose. Exploring through the mediums of drawing, printmaking, painting, photography and video she draws on as many variations and permutations as possible around a central motif alluding to the state of process and transformation. Choreography, Dance and Movement remain an integral part of her artistic practice; her work is a physical process and a spiritual quest evoking unity of spirit and matter, action and meditation.
